Music Video Blog
In this music video, we really wanted to capture the message of this song. Growing up in a society where we always feel although we need other's validation isn't healthy. Especially for young women and teens, we care so much about how people think of us, that we let others walk in our lives and take what they want. We can't be blinded by the good things people want us to see, then disregard the negatives. We can't let people use, then manipulate us into thinking that what they did "wasn't that bad" or "normal". Alexa and I both understand that a lot of the scenes can be triggering, extreme, or inappropriate. However, we really believe that this is an appropriate way to shed light on such a real and raw situation that many people face today. This way we can really elevate the severity of the situation that this song is depicting. Even though some scenes may be seen as risky, we love that we can express our ideas on how to portray such a genuine message. Letting our creativity wander throughout this whole project is what really allowed us to keep pushing. Even though all our setbacks. With Alexa's house catching on fire, our spirits were somewhat lowered due to us believing that we couldn't complete it the way we wanted to. We continued on and put a lot of time and effort into this project. We polished and finalized our project in sections and even then we kept continuing to add things. We wanted to convey such a raw message in a way to shed more light on these conditions. While finalizing this project we became a bit frustrated. We could not get the quality of the actual video to look the way it did while editing. We even got Clip champs premium to see if that could fix it. We ended up having to upload it numerous times, and in many different ways. All in all, I am so happy with the outcome, and it was worth it.
