Planning for Music Video
While starting this project we quickly decided on many things. Such as our song, Violent Crimes by Kanye West. Alexa Delgado choose this song and brought up the general idea of what she wanted it to be about. We talked it over and planned out what we wanted for each scene in depth. We then asked a friend named Ezekiel Morales who isn't apart of this class if he would like to be one of our main actors along with Paola D'orazio and he agreed. We wanted to really incorporate a sort of color scheme that really can connect to the scene beginning presented. So we thought that having a room with LED lights would really help to convey the moods needed for the music video. So we decided to have the location take place in Alexa's room because she has them on the boarder of her ceiling. We were going to begin filming on Saturday the 21st of November and try to complete as much as we can. We were then going to continue whatever we had left for the following day. If we had anything else to add we would've done it over Thanksgiving break and finish. Sadly though, the day before we were going to film, Friday the 20th of November, Alexa's house caught on fire and her entire room was burnt. She lost two of her computers and the paper the story board was written on. Needless to say, we had a few set backs. Alexa was super busy trying to fix the house, so we really couldn't do anything for much of Thanksgiving break. Thankfully Ezekiel offered his house as our location to film. He also has LED light on his ceiling which we were super relieved about. Sunday November 29th was our makeup day of filming and we did a good amount of scenes over there. Then on the 30th to the 1st Alexa slept over my house and the 2nd to the 3rd I slept over her Airbnb where we finished up a lot of the scenes due to the house fire. Most of the costumes for our music video are just going to be normal attire, but the make up will occasionally be made to look as though the actress is crying.
