Final Task: Location, Health, Schedule, and More

Roles: 

We believe that it would be best for one of us to play the girlfriend that gets murdered in the opening film. We feel as though no one knows how we want the emotion portrayed by that character than us. Since we really liked how our last film came out like, we decided to have Paola play the girlfriend who gets murdered.

The main character is a man so, we need a boy to play as our lead. We have a few options in mind but before we make concrete plans we want to be sure that we want them as our lead. We need a specific person to fit this role. Some who look toxic and can pull off being a murder in our film. We have narrowed it down to, Ezekiel Moralez who played the toxic boyfriend in our music video. Victor Melendez did the voice-over in Paola's Gatorade commercial. But so far it seems we might have to choose Zeke for our film again.

Alexa is going to shoot a lot of the scenes since Paola is in front of the camera. She'll also be the main editor because she has iMovie on her mac.

Since Paola essentially came up with the idea of the film and Alexa is going to be filming it, we'll be doing a collaborative role directing.

Location:

The story is going to take place inside a house mostly so, we decided to shoot the film in Paola's house. We want an open layout for the kitchen so it's easier to shoot. Thankfully, Zeke also has an open layout in the kitchen, so we have his house as a backup location, in case any troubles arise.

Health and Safety:

Our movie does portray a man murdering his girlfriend with a kitchen knife, so we made sure Paola's parents are going to be present in the house. In case of an emergency, there will be two cars outside. He is someone we both hang out with normally, so we know we're all covid safe. To stay extra safe with covid we're going to sanitize constantly and make sure we're only near each other when need be. 

Schedule:

March 5th-7th: This weekend we're trying to film but some of us have work and the only day we're all free, we have other matters to attend to. 

March 8th-12th: These are school days and we're each really busy with school, work, and other affairs. if need be, we'll try to film throughout this week.

March 12th-14th: Paola will be out of town for a wedding, so we can't film without our main actress.

March 15th-19th: These are school days once again, but we might try to film throughout these days if we are in need of time.

March 19th-21st: If we filmed throughout the weekdays then we'll take this weekend to focus on editing and completing the film. If we still have yet the time to film then we'll absolutely have it done by this weekend and begin editing the following day.

Others:

We're going to be filming a lot in one day. So once we have finished filming for the first day, we're going to start editing immediately and see what else needs to be added. If there is anything extra that we need we'll have maybe 1 or 2 follow-up days to make sure we have everything in order.

Music Video Intro blog

 For my music video project, I've decided on working with a partner. The person I have chosen to work with is Alexa Delgado. I've worked with her on previous projects before this one. Even on the projects that we were supposed to work individually, she'd always offer to help with anything I needed. We've known each other since kindergarten, and I believe this is the main determinant of why we work so well together. We also already see each other on a daily basis because we live so close together. She is one of my best friends, and we really understand each other, so we tend to have a lot of things in common. Like for example, our taste in music. Alexa brought up the idea of choosing the song violent crimes by Kanye West, which we then concluded as the song for our project pretty quickly. Filming Blog: Volleyball gym

On Sunday the 25th of October I went over to my friend's house so that we can prepare to film at a park near her house. While waiting in the house it started to rain. I then decided to reschedule filming later on in that week because I had other factors that ended up making me decided that I would now need to film indoors in a gym. Because I had volleyball practice, the only day I could film were the 29th and 30th of October after practice. I had to ask my coach prior to filming if it was okay. While filming I had my main actress named Amelia who was willing to do whatever I told her I needed, which was extremely helpful. In the opening scene, I really wanted to start off by emphasizing the intensity of the commercial to come. I did this by doing a tilt shot from her shoes to her face.
