Production Blog: Options in Film
Today after work, I'm sleeping over at my family friend's house. Because then in the morning, we have to drive 10 hours up to Pensacola Florida for a wedding. I'll be gone the whole weekend, so we won't be able to film at all this weekend. Since I'm going to have a lot of time on my hands, I can think about my final project a lot more. I'm deciding between two ideas for the costumes in my film. For the girlfriend, I either want a 90s theme with a white floral dress for the good scenes and a black floral dress for the bad scenes. Or just a simple white for the good scenes and black or red for the bad scenes. For the boyfriend, I either want the 90s theme with a white button-up for the good scenes and a black button-up for the bad scenes. Or just a regular white polo for the good scenes and a black or red polo for the bad scenes. We know for sure that we want two different outfits for the two separate scenarios. We previously made sure that we all already have the costumes mentioned prior, so we could know all our options. I also need to make a decision, on all the different camera angles in each scene. I want angles that show the whole picture. That really portrays the concept we've created. We also want to think out of the box to really have a unique film. We also need to choose the specific camera movements for all the precise scenes. We had this really cool idea to film it like coming up then flipping upside down and the coming up from the other side right side up. I honestly don't know how to explain it, but I want to study up how to execute it flawlessly. Even if it ends up becoming too complicated we still want a backup plan that looks just as nice. But we still want it to look sleek, even if the movement is basic.
