Thrift Day Blog

My partner Alexa, my friend Sonali and I all went to Goodwill to thrift some costumes for our film. Sonali is going to be playing our nurse. She'll be wheeling me out of the hospital to my mom's car. We want all of our costumes and scenes to be as accurate as possible. We were looking for so long. We thought finding the scrubs would be easier. We went to one goodwill but none of the scrubs in that on fir our actress and friend Sonali. Finally at the second location we found like 3 we were interested in. We found a pair that fit Sonali perfectly. And this big brown shirt that we were okay with getting dirty. We also helped Sonali also look for items for her film. She is also in AICE media studies. We love thrifting. So we easily took this opportunity to look for other things we wanted in our closet. We were only going to use the items once so we didn't want to spend a lot of money on them.  Plus we can bring a new use to old clothes. We love the costumes we chose for those occasions. After we dropped Sonali off at her house Alexa and I went on a little study date. We were very productive and we planed out a lot of our next scenes. We also got started on our website and postcards.

Music Video Intro blog

 For my music video project, I've decided on working with a partner. The person I have chosen to work with is Alexa Delgado. I've worked with her on previous projects before this one. Even on the projects that we were supposed to work individually, she'd always offer to help with anything I needed. We've known each other since kindergarten, and I believe this is the main determinant of why we work so well together. We also already see each other on a daily basis because we live so close together. She is one of my best friends, and we really understand each other, so we tend to have a lot of things in common. Like for example, our taste in music. Alexa brought up the idea of choosing the song violent crimes by Kanye West, which we then concluded as the song for our project pretty quickly. Filming Blog: Volleyball gym

On Sunday the 25th of October I went over to my friend's house so that we can prepare to film at a park near her house. While waiting in the house it started to rain. I then decided to reschedule filming later on in that week because I had other factors that ended up making me decided that I would now need to film indoors in a gym. Because I had volleyball practice, the only day I could film were the 29th and 30th of October after practice. I had to ask my coach prior to filming if it was okay. While filming I had my main actress named Amelia who was willing to do whatever I told her I needed, which was extremely helpful. In the opening scene, I really wanted to start off by emphasizing the intensity of the commercial to come. I did this by doing a tilt shot from her shoes to her face.
