Extra Filming, Website, and Postcard Blog

Towards the end of our production, the only scenes we had left to film were the most important. Finally, when putting all the scenes together, we realized there were some we wanted to recreate. We always do this. once we finish we go back and make sure there isn't something we want to recreate. The next step in this production project was the marking perspective. We're required to create a postcard and a website advertising our film. As well as social media accounts of our film. We created the postcard easily first off. It didn't even take us 45mins. We put all the necessary elements in and we worked with our creativity. The next step was creating social media accounts. Some we're a bit hard for me to figure out because I've never used the platform before. It just turned into something you just have to figure out. Facebook and Twitter turned out to be the hardest for me. I believe facebook just kept my actual name somewhere on the account because it wouldn't let me use my movie's name. Our final marketing step was creating the website. I don't know if I started off on a different editing site but it deleted somehow when I wasn't connected to the wifi. All my work was lost, but I just started from scratch and my friend showed me the site he and almost everyone else used. Starting it was honestly the only hard part. It took me some time to understand what I want in it. But when you start creating it, you realize that you just have to go with the flow.

Production Blog: Decision on Costumes and Tone

 We weren't able to film last weekend as predicted. I was out of town for the whole weekend. Since I, one of the main actors couldn't be there, we had no way of beginning to film anything. In my previous blog I talked about how during the long car rides, I wanted to be able to think about the costumes and overall theme. I've made quite a few decisions on many things regarding my film project with my partner Alexa Delgado. Such as my choice for costumes. I've resolved on having the lead male actor, wear a white button-up for the good scenes and a black button-up for the bad scenes. We wanted the color scheme of the outfits to be light and dark to really emphasize the tone being portrayed in each scene. Music Video Intro blog

 For my music video project, I've decided on working with a partner. The person I have chosen to work with is Alexa Delgado. I've worked with her on previous projects before this one. Even on the projects that we were supposed to work individually, she'd always offer to help with anything I needed. We've known each other since kindergarten, and I believe this is the main determinant of why we work so well together. We also already see each other on a daily basis because we live so close together. She is one of my best friends, and we really understand each other, so we tend to have a lot of things in common. Like for example, our taste in music. Alexa brought up the idea of choosing the song violent crimes by Kanye West, which we then concluded as the song for our project pretty quickly. Genre Blog: Drama

Drama Common lighting in the genre drama is lowkey lighting, hard lighting, cinematic lighting, and side lighting. Some common camera angles are medium angle, close-up angle, extreme close-up angle, and the over-the-shoulder shot. Common camera movements are horizontal movements, hand-held movement, and verticle movement. The costumes usually fit the personality of each character. Props can literally be anything that falls into the situation or storyline. The settings are usually realistic and usually play into real-life characters. They edit in a way to leaves questions unanswered and an uncertain storyline. Common sounds in drama are the actor's voices, sound effects, the interaction with props, and background music.
