For our final project of the opening scene of a movie, we had many ideas for the tile designs. We made sure that the titles going by throughout the movie, fit the plot and storyline. We want the opening scene to be suspenseful and thrilling. In order to achieve that theme, the title designs play a huge part in that. The font we decided to use is Anton . We feel as though this font adds to the intensity of our opening scene. It's very bold, and with our chosen color scheme we felt it was a strong combination. We've chosen red and black for the letter combination colors, with red being our full names and the topic of the title being black. This will help the slightly twisted and dark underlying theme. We're going to keep the font the same throughout the whole opening scene because we want it to look seamless.  Watch the titles was very helpful. I watched various titles sequenced from lots of genres. I learned how much a title really distinguishes a lot. Not only does it say the name but the but it tells the genre. It also gives somewhat of a theme. When looking at a horror aspect I see more creepy or unsettling images. We see various usage of more demonic or creepy things. Rather than in a romcom seeing flowers and cute couples. Overall a title is a very loud vocal point within the presentation. Hence I learned how to convey these messages with a simple word.

Our genre firs more in the horror and thriller genre.  Titles are critical to a movie. There's lots of reason for this. Titles are the first thing the audience sees. It draws people into your movie. It also helps your movie stand out. All titles are usually different or very distant. Whether it is bolded titles. Colored bright red or crazy font. Yet such a small detail could really matter. It also somewhat tells a story to you're audience. A title does more than say the name of it. They also somewhat tell you the genre or somewhat present a theme to the viewer. If it's a horror movie you will most likely see a grimmer title. Rather than a Romantic film with a bright pink title. For our film, we are looking through options. I watched this movie about two years ago and fell in love. The plot, the actors, and the message were beautiful.  Very few films linger in my mind the way Arrival did. But even after several viewings, on each watch, Arrival offers a new interpretation, a fresh point of view, or a renewed perception of events. The movie questions our linear concept of time, this business of starting from the beginning and stopping at the end. But they made us ask, what if time, to suit our intent, could be bent, formed, molded? And she doesn't always have the answers in the future and always has to fill these open holes with up-to-date knowledge from the present; explanations such as the name of her husband, presenting the answer to a science question for her daughter, and how she came to receive insight from the future. In an infinite loop, the future, the past, and the present all benefit from each other. A new perspective on how we live life is offered by the message given. The aliens can explain...

I watched The Killing of a Sacred Deer about a year ago with my two older brothers. While sitting down and watching it we were confused almost throughout the entire movie. Each of us making stabs in the dark about the storyline and where it was going to lead. All the guests were reasonable, yet none of them prepared us for the ending. I was a bit unsure about how I felt at the end of the movie, but I did know I liked it. I love those physiological thrillers that make you feel completely in the dark. The unsettling atmosphere of the who le movie impacted the viewers considerably. When watching this movie you really have to listen to the words spoken, rather than the tone they are spoken in. One element of the genre that didn't really appeal to was the unsettling tone of the actors. Because at some points it made it difficult to understand the storyline. I watched this movie about a month ago with my family and we all loved it so much. This movie was so incredibly complex and unpredictable. It is honestly a masterpiece. I had a high expectation before watching. It  won numerous awards, including the prestigious Oscar for The Best Film and The Best Director. I honestly believed the name of the movie was going to be more literal than figurative. I thought it was gonna be about a virus with parasites or something. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised . We're trailing the Kim family that doesn't have a lot of money. The son in the family decides to work for the rich Park family by accident. He's teaching English to their daughter. The rest of the family now sees money-making potential, and they have a proposal to eliminate the rest of the workers who work for the rich Park family and then take the positions on their own.  The thrill Ride is a type of fiction, having various, regularly covering subgenres. Spine chillers are described and characterized by the temperaments they inspire, giving watchers uplifted sensations of tension, fervor, shock, expectation, and uneasiness. Thrillers are suspenseful and add a sense of mystery while horror showcases fear. We don't want to buy predominantly Beyond fear. Rather we would want our film to be much more.  With the Thriller genre, we can have the best of both worlds. We can create a psychological Thriller that essentially takes our audience's main focal point and pushes it to the Limit. There's so much more room within the Thriller genre. We both felt this was the perfect genre. We had fewer limitations and more room for creativity.  Thriller Common lighting in this genre is backlighting, under lighting, and lowkey lighting. This helps to create a dark and mysterious atmosphere and helps to conceal the character's identity, which adds to that suspense.  Some common camera angles are close-ups shots, which exemplify the emotions of the characters or frames an object, to be at attention. Point of view shots allow the viewers to feel emotionally engaged because they feel as though they are the character.  Tracking is a common camera movement that follows the character's action but at the same doesn't spoil the movie.  For this genre costumes usually worn by the antagonist are darker. This genre ppt project was a major determinant in the success of my later projects following. It allowed me to focus on the schemes of a specific genre. After completing this assignment, I easily understood the many factors that go into specific genres. Because I arranged my genre project on horror, I ended up being most familiar with that. I particularly loved this genre, even before beginning this project so, I was quite interested in doing it for such a big project. I knew it was going to keep me intrigued while executing it. Therefore I could at least enjoy the task taking up most of my time at that moment. In my ppt, I covered many things that are included in the overall genre of horror. Pitch 1:  The induction portrays a teenage girl who has been missing for 10 years, as she attempts to escape from her captor through the woods but doesn't succeed. Pitch 2: The introduction shows society's ideal couple versus the horrific reality of a case, where the true colors of the boyfriend come out as he murders his girlfriend over an argument. Both pitches are emotionally intense and thrilling, which is exactly what will excite us during the filmmaking process.   My name is Paola D'Orazio and I'm a 16-year-old sophomore. This project for my AICE media class allows me to be especially creative. I love films and watching movies, and I've always wanted to act. With this project, I can have my own ideas come to life. For this project, I've decided to partner up with my close friend Alexa Delgado. We always end up working together on many projects, including other classes too. We live very close to each other so it's easy to do it together. Discussing a project over the phone and going back and forth about times to see each other once or twice are problems that we feel are unnecessary to go through. We already see each other daily so it was a clear arrangement. We have a lot in common in terms of our creativity and ideas. We find it effortless to throw around ideas to see what sticks.
